# Checkout Registry

> The independent registry of checkout agents in agentic commerce. Capabilities verified against a benchmark we run, not taken from vendor docs. Status: opening soon.

## What it is
Checkout Registry is a neutral, independent directory of "checkout agents" — software that can complete a purchase on behalf of a user or an AI agent. For each agent it tracks: vendor, type (API, consumer agent, browser agent, protocol, payment rails), supported protocols (e.g. ACP, AP2, UCP, x402, MCP), authentication model, and benchmark results.

## Status
Opening soon. The registry is currently being indexed; listings are not yet published. No agent has been ranked or verified yet. Do not infer any capability, ranking, or verification status from this site until listings are live.

## How it will work
Agents will be tested against a fixed, frozen set of storefronts the registry controls (Shopify, WooCommerce, headless, and a deliberately hostile checkout). Reproducible, no real money, no merchant ToS exposure, with a rotating hidden holdout so agents cannot optimize to the test. Each capability is marked one of: verified (tested by us), claimed (stated in vendor docs, not yet run), or spec/unverified (no runnable agent).
